Margaret's Gift
This page is dedicated in loving memory of Margaret Holtz, a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Day Care and Preschool Board, and a long-time member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Margaret loved the Lord and gave generously of her time and talents, both at church and in the community to improve the lives of those around her, especially children. Space will not allow us to list all the ways our dear friend Margaret contributed to the greater Emanuel family, but her loving touch is evident everywhere, from the murals she painted on the walls of ELDC (both trees on our website) to the table grace painted in the social hall, to the Busy Bag she made for the children who attend Sunday Services.
The first wish fulfilled on this site resulted from Margaret's suggestion that the ELDC children needed more outdoor toys. In her memory, many members generously donated the funds to provide storage for those toys in a new sturdy and secure toy box.
Margaret's life was an inspiration to those of us who knew and loved her. |t is our hope that those who visit this site will reflect on her kindness and generosity and will consider how they too can contribute to the ministry of Emanuel Lutheran Day Care and Preschool.
